A Golfer's Dream Office

For this custom home office design in Northern Virginia, we created a sophisticated, golf-inspired workspace that balances modern function with rich, traditional character. Most of the room was painted in a deep Farrow & Ball green, allowing the crisp white ceiling to provide contrast and keep the space feeling tailored rather than overly heavy. Custom chestnut velvet drapery panels add warmth and softness while also assisting with sound absorption, and a plaid rug grounds the room beneath a fluted-detail standing desk and leather desk chair with nailhead trim. Vintage golf clubs displayed on the wall bring in a personal, collected layer, while Evan Schiller golf course photography featuring two of the client’s favorite courses was custom framed in burl wood for an elevated, highly personal touch. A sculptural modern ceiling fixture adds a contemporary note, while traditional picture frame molding gives the room architectural structure and a timeless finish. The result is a layered, polished golf lover’s office that feels masculine, refined, and thoughtfully designed for both work and retreat.
