Design Details

For this whole main-floor interior renovation in the Willowsford community of Ashburn, Virginia, we focused on creating a cohesive home with strong architectural character, layered finishes, and distinct moments from room to room. In the office, Peppercorn walls create a moody foundation, paired with walnut reeded moldings, a floating ceiling detail, and Phillip Jeffries wallpaper for a richly tailored feel. A custom desk features power cables designed within the leg to hide the wires. The entry living room was designed in warm earth tones with velvet green drapery and mixed wood finishes to feel polished, inviting, and collected. In the family great room, deep navy walls, ceiling beams, and a custom built-in provide both visual impact and practical storage for media and children’s toys. The kitchen was refreshed with an updated hood and sculptural alabaster lighting, while the entry and staircase were kept light and airy with crisp white tones and traditional picture molding. We added a more playful moment in the powder room with Schumacher wallpaper and a scalloped rattan mirror, bringing warmth and personality to the overall design. The result is a layered, elevated main-floor renovation in Ashburn that blends luxury interior design with family-friendly function and thoughtful architectural detail throughout.
